Feb. 10-April 6: Recent match competition
With all of the time spent downloading new patches and learning Athena Sword's new maps, it's been a while since we've reported match results, so get ready for a heavy-duty dose of doin's.

LZ5's 2v2 team went 1-1 recently with a win over Legends Never Die and a tight 2-1 loss to South Side Tribe on the new AS maps. Before that, they lost tight battles to 106th Air Cav. (Tac-Com) and to G3 that broke a two-match win streak over The Tactical Edge and F.Y.U. Shutup&SitDown. Losses to The Âgency and Blood for Blood kicked off the month. Current record: 8-7.

The 3v3 team meanwhile took down Appetite 4 Destruction with a 2-1 win, with LZ5 taking Garage (3-1) and Peaks (3-2) and A4D winning Embassy (2-3). Current record: 19-14.

The 4v4 team defeat HomeBrew on the AS maps, winning Volcano Observatory (3-0) and Old City (3-1) but forfeited a match to Sapper Regiment.

On the 7v7 side, LZ5 recently took admin forfeits from CaLL For BLood and Fatal Force.


Jan. 23-Feb. 9: Pistols team wins fourth straight
The insomniac trio – BassOMatic, LoneWolf, and Bogey – defeated Fraggers United {FU} in a 3 on 3 pistols match and once again showed another clan why we own. That's four straight wins for the pistols squad LZ5 went 2-0, winning Estate 3-1 in 5 rounds and Island Estate 2 3-2 in 6 rounds. Bass was 8-8, Bogey 6-7, and Wolf 9-6. Previous wins came over Turks Head Clan (forfeit); =PARAS= Clan, where they took Private Airport 2 (Night) 3-1 and City Streets Large 3-2 (losing Import-Export 0-3 in the middle); and Blood for Blood, who they beat 3-1 on both City Streets Large and Import-Export.


Jan. 20-Feb. 8: Power streak comes to an end
After three straight Power Match wins, LZ5 lost a tough 5v5 Power battle to its close allies of the BBS-dWId Alliance, getting edged on Penthouse 2-3 before flying to a 3-2 win on Private Airport. BDA then wrapped the match with a 3-1 win on Streets. Prior to that, LZ5 had bested Blood for Blood (City Streets Large, 2-3; Penthouse: 3-2; Presidio: 3-2), Masters Of Friggin Ownage (City Streets Large 2-3, Penthouse 3-2, and Alpine Village 3-1); and 101st Airborne Raven Shield (Presidio 2-3, Prison 3-2, and Meat Packing Plant 2 (Day) 3-2). Players were LoneWolf (22-17) , Lintball (17-17), Desciple (8-10), CrossFire (10-17), and Bogey (7-19).


Jan. 24-Feb. 7: 4v4 team keeps winning
Spaced between forfeits from Sons of Liberty RvS and AFD-ASSAULT FORCE DRAGONS, LZ5's 4v4 team defeated EnEmY in two straight maps, dominating Private Airport 3 - 0 and winning Prison:3-2. Players were Boba_Fett (5-7), Bogey (4-7), Lintball (3-3), and LoneWolf (8-2).


Jan. 20-Feb. 4: 2v2 team takes two out of three
LZ5's 2v2 maniacs, Boba and Ramrod, took it to IQSquad with a 3-0 win on Training and a 3-2 victory on Garage. The next week, they got another "W" when Toy Story didn't want to come out to play. Prior to that, they lost a tough match to Canadian Anti-Terrorist Unit 3-2 on Private Airport and 3-1 on Private Airport 2 (Night).
Jan. 17: Monthly competition update
LZ5's 2v2 posted an impressive 3-1 record over the last month, beating The Knights of Omnipotence 3-1, 3-1 on Island Estate 2 (Dawn) and Private Airport; getting a forfeit from Tactical Ops. Professionals; and besting Rebels With Guns 3,0, 2-3, 3-1 on Training, Island Estate 2 (Dawn), and Penthouse. The team's sole loss was a 3-1, 3-1 defeat to WON-TON WARRiORS on City Streets Large and Presidio.

The 3v3 pistols squad went 1-3 with a3-1, 3-1 victory over Shadow co. of Parade and Training, and losses to The Art of Warfare (3-0, 0-3, 3-2), Xpiration Date (3-0, 3-0), and NO MERCY ASSASSINS:. (3-0, 1-3, 3-1).

The 4-4 operatives had a 50-50 month with three wins and three losses, edging Rebels With Guns 3-2, 1-3, and 3-2 in Garage, Private Airport 2 (Night), and Parade with all maps being decided in overtime; defeating WON-TON WARRiORS 3-1, 3-1 on Training and City Streets Large; and besting The Knights of Omnipotence 3-2, 3-1 on Prison and City Streets Large. Losses came againt Stupid A$$ Picket Pounding Engineer Retards (2-3, 3-2, 3-1); Livid and Gifted (3-2, 3-0), and Necessary Evil (2-3, 3-2, 3-1).
